NOS COMMISSAIRES
La Commission scolaire est dirigée par un conseil de commisaires constitué de trois représentants de Yellowknife et de trois représentants de Hay River. Le Conseil se réunit à l’occasion de 10 séances ordinaires publiques par année.
La population est invitée à assister à ces réunions, où elle dispose d’une période de questions.

Cinq nouveaux commissaires scolaires ont été élu par acclamation en octobre 2018. Les nouveaux postes au sein de la Commission seront déterminés en novembre 2018.
What is a trustee
Trustees are elected by parents. They are responsible for developing the policies that guide the delivery of academic services to students while also taking into consideration the needs of the community as well as legislation and government requirements.
What are the trustees' responsibilities?
To communicate with, inform and encourage the involvement of parents, staff and the community with respect to the Commission’s decisions and activities.

To establish the goals and priorities which allow us to achieve the educational standards set by the Northwest Territories, and meet students’ needs in a way that reflects the wishes of the community.

To develop and implement policies and guidelines on the standards and expectations for the activities of the administration, teachers and students.
​
To influence the territorial government in order to make progress on priority education issues.
​
To recruit and assess the superintendent.

Son rôle est d’aider la Commission scolaire à remplir son mandat tout en restant fidèle à sa mission et à ses objectifs.
